Despite being a fat viking, I still have some tricks in my sleeve!
History :
I started playing around year 2000, it only lasted for a year, but I had great time playing that year. I can remember that a buddy of mine asked me to join in for a game, I said "Yeah, sure, lets try it". After the game, I got hooked and I bought the fields rental marker, an ICD Alley Cat. Such a simple marker, it was mindblowing. After I bought it, I did a full service (allthough with no spare parts) on it, it was quite dirty and has been through alot. But still it worked and kept going on. Later on I bought a Tippmann 98, not a very special marker, but it was like the Alley Cat, sturdy and reliable. Whilst the others bought tons of upgrades for their 98s, I still rocked on with stock parts.
But enough with the marker history of that period! We mostly played outlaw paintball with friends in a nearby forest. We also played on a farm sometimes, that was great fun! It had everything we needed to play all day long, Co2 station, the possibilty to buy paint, safe zone, the lot really! The field consisted of a driveable Peugeot 205, a huge field packed with hayballs, a barn used as a fortress. It was so fun playing there, me and my buddies had such a good time playing at that field.
I regret that it only lasted a year, but I felt I had to lay it down because I was entering high school. But the main reason why I regret laying down paintball that time, was because I simply didnt experience that time when the great autocockers and automags was around. I can only inmagine what kind of markers I'd have if I played continuously to present time. It makes me sad! But atleast Im trying to relive that period now (I'll come back to that).
My pause from paintball lasted to early spring 2009. Thanks to my previous employer, which had a paintball club for the employers that wanted to play paintball. After a few games with my mates at the job, I bought a SP1, Dye Rotor and a 300bar (4500psi) tank and a Vforce Profiler mask. Then I was pretty much back in business. I mostly played woodsball that year, but with some occasional speedballing. 2009 was also the year I started to film my games. After I saw some videos of Borg (Rest in peace, mate), I really wanted to film aswell, as far as I know, there wasnt other people around here in Norway who filmed in FPS(first person shooter)-style. Quickly I got some good response for what I did and that was enough for me to contiune my filming. Later on I sold my SP1, so I could get a Dangerous Power G3. I wanted something smaller and lighter, all in all, a good upgrade. But my quest for a light and compact setup was blown to pieces late winter 2009. I bought myself a 2002 WGP Black Magic, after being at a biggame in Sweden September 2009 (Bockaby), since I saw a player with an Ebladed Orracle, the moment I saw that backblock in action, I was sold, I had to get an autococker! Later that year I sold my G3 to my mate, Preben, so I could get a like-new-in-box WGP Karnivor in blood red color. My Karnivor saw the debut at the Stavanger Paintball Arena with our newly formed team, Inglorious Badgers, in february 2010, and it blew my mind. I had such a big smile when I played with it. And that sat a standard for me, no matter how big, clumsy, bulky or heavy a marker can be, as long it put a smile on your face, thats the most important thing. In May 2010 our team, Inglorious Badgers, debuted at NPL1 (Norwegian Paintball League). We won two matches and set a milestone for many of us, since it was our first time at the NPL. We only played NPL1 that year, due to personal matters and our jobtimes.
Later on I bought the G3 back from Preben, and then I warp-fed it with a Pinokio loader and topped it with a 90ci tank and an APEX barrel. This setup was fun to play with and turned alot of heads on different events. And gave perhaps the most action filled videos ever from me. Sadly this setup didnt last forever, I sold my G3 again, since it had to finance my Eclipse Pro series and Eclipse DC2 autocockers. I still have my warpfeed though, maybe I'll make something out of that later on!
In 2011, me and my team, Inglorious Badgers reached a new milestone, we were one of few who attended on all NPL events and the Norwegian Masters event all together. Allthough we didnt succeed, but we had a great time, and thats the most important thing right?
After being a full devoted autococker user, my DC2 and Pro series saw action in all the NPL rounds and the Norwegian Masters event. Not suprisingly, I was the only guy who used autocockers.
Anyway! 2011 was a great year for me, my team and my paintballclub, good and busy year for us all! I will try to make 2012 even better for you, since I have a driver lisence now I can now roam freely and play walk-ons here in Norway. That means that I can film more vidoes for your entertainment!
Peace!
